Software Development Mgr/Tech Lead

The continued success and rapid growth of core software organization has created a need for a seasoned Software Development Manager. You will be the technical and managerial navigator for several new product initiatives to deliver enterprise/mobile management systems impacting the lives of millions. You will collaborate with Senior Management/Product Management and QA to drive the execution and implementation strategy for product delivery over multiple releases. This highly visible role requires a dynamic manager with extensive technical, architectural, and managerial experience.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and mentor initially a team of 4-7 engineers
• Develop blueprint and technical leadership for next generation web framework utilizing open source frameworks
• Review best practice approach( Agile/Scrum etc), coding standards, testing, tools etc
• This is a hands on mgt role, not a Director or VP level position….Ideal for talented leader looking to become a strategic technical manger in a world class engineering environment.
Requirements:
• 10 + years of enterprise software development
• 6+ years of technical leadership, management, architectural experience
• Exceptional software development skills/philosophy
• Passion for delivering exceptional products
• Extensive technical breadth and depth with Java technologies ( J2EE, Javascript, JBoss, Spring, Hibernate, Struts, Tomcat, etc) and relational databases ( MySQL, Oracle etc.)
• Experience with Mobile technologies/platforms (iPhone/Blackberry/Android etc.) • Track record of successful team building and product delivery
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• BS/MS degree or equivalent
