Flash websites make you cringe? You aren't the only one.
Oh, you noticed that div was two pixels off? Great. An eye for pixel-perfect perfection is what we want! You have an eye for beautiful code. We admire that. Internet Explorer 6 and 7 (...and 8... and 9...) terrify you, but you can still manage to create a masterpiece that works across all browsers.
It's great that you know HTML and CSS, and it's even better that you know PHP and MySQL. You've used SVN and version control before. We like that. The fact that you get along with other people is something else we like. We wouldn't want our graphics designers to get the cold shoulder from you. After all, you're breathing life into their vision.
If you couldn't tell (and we're hoping you could), we're looking for a front-end web developer to join our team. You'll be the liaison between the Internet and the PSD designs from our graphics designer.
What are you responsible for?
Marking up and creating websites based on mockups and client needs
Working with graphics designer and PM
Verifying compatibility on required systems and browsers
Interfacing with backend systems to display data
Things you need:
Current knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and other languages
Ability to work with a team on deadline
Extreme attention to detail
It's even better if you have:
Knowledge of SVN
Knowledge in backend languages (PHP, MySQL, Python, Perl, system-level C)
UI/UX Experience
Pixel-level attention to detail
General feel for UX
