Our platforms educate individuals on the presence of modern day slavery and empower them take tangible action. The role of developer will manage and implement feature rich enhancements that will help our users to end modern slavery and human trafficking. Not bad for a web development role!

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Slavery Footprint is seeking an energetic, innovative and experienced iOS/Android in-house developer to help build out their incredible new SlaveryFootprint platform in partnership with the US Dept of Justice. We have a beta site and apps on iOS and Android launched and are seeking an individual to join our forming developer team for both web and mobile platforms. This team is to take over the management and to complete the functionality we desire in these platforms.

Our platform back end has been built on the Yii Framework and features a custom CMS with a sizeable RDBMS driving a very dynamic, very innovative HTML5 front end with rich social media integration and engagement tools for our users. The iOS app has been developed on Apple’s iOS SDK.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirements:
Formal degree in Computer Science of Information Systems or related technical field preferred.

What you need to bring: *3+ years of relevant experience in developing web based tools and software for diverse clients/application areas with an emphasis on UI *Mastery of the iPhone and Android development platforms (Objective C, Java, iPhone SDK, Android SDK) *Pointers to mobile apps you’ve built! *Good understanding of MVC PHP frameworks, especially Yii *Experience writing server-side APIs and strong back-end skills *HTML5 proficiency, JavaScript and CSS experience. *Familiarity of good design principles and ability to mock-up designs in Photoshop and in the browser *Familiarity with Github or other version control methods *Passionate about working with wickedly smart people who are focused on creating truly innovative solutions that will not only help to abolish slavery but will make a huge dent in global poverty too. *Experience integrating social media content and features into other environments *Proven track record of delivery high quality work on firm deadlines in an Agile environment *Problem solving abilities- you will be working from a built code base with reasonable documentation

Full Software Development Life Cycle understanding
A mind for performance and scalability

Additional qualifications
Good organizational skills. Must be self-starter and be able to work as part of a team
Experience in Usability Studies

SALARY:
This is a full-time in house position. Salary: DOE
