Role:
WhaleShark’s mobile team is looking for a Mobile Web Developer who has a passion for all things mobile and wants to help build multiple mobile OS’s and mobile browsers serving tens of millions of devices worldwide.
You will work closely with our engineering and product teams and maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards, modern web browser capabilities, compatibility issues, W3C standards compliance and accessibility issues.

Responsibilities:
• Building engaging mobile web browser experiences for users globally
• Work closely with UX/UI, product management and other teams to conceive, create, and design unique mobile experiences.
• Rapidly add new functionality, solve complex problems and ship defect free code
Requirements:
• Five or more years of experience in software design and development
• Expert skills in HTML,CSS & Javascript
• Experience with HTML5 & friends (geo-location, app cache, etc)
• CSS3 and mobile oriented scripting frameworks libraries (SproutCore, jQuery Mobile, XUI/Zepto, etc)
• A track record of building mobile web browser experiences and or web experiences
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Ruby and Python is a plus
• Experience with scaling, internationalization, geo-location and performance
• Strong intuition for UX and consumer behavior
• Independent, self-motivated, and avid technologist
• Strong understanding of consumer products on the web, media experience a plus
• Experience with Git (or other distributed version control system) a plus
