Mobile Web Developer

Our client: Bookit.com is looking to hire a Mobile Web Application Developer. This is a fulltime permanent role in Panama City Beach, FL. We are looking for candidates with Green Card, US Citizenship and valid H1-B visa. Relocation assistance is available for this role.
NOTE: This is a fulltime permanent role in PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL. Candidates interested in this role will have to relocate to Panama City Beach, FL for this opportunity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a motivated, energetic mobile web application developer that has experience building cutting edge consumer facing, data-driven applications. This new position would be responsible for helping to define mobile web application standards and best practices, building and deploying apps, and helping grow our online travel presence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Web development tasks include coding, testing, debugging, documenting, peer-reviewing, deploying, monitoring, and support
• Passion and commitment to being part of a unified team effort is mandatory
• You will be an active part of a team of less than 30 talented members
• Innovation and idea sharing are encouraged-you will NOT be a cog in a wheel
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• The ideal candidate must have either a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• The ideal candidate must have 1-5 years of experience developing Mobile Enabled Websites working with JavaScript & jQuery
• The ideal candidate must have Solid front end development experience using HTML/CSS
• Demonstrates solid understanding of Web technologies
• Strong OO JavaScript development
• Experience with mobile JavaScript frameworks like jQuery Mobile, jQTouch, or Sencha
• JSON / SOAP experience and ability to demonstrate efficient use of both
• Strong understanding of CSS and CSS3 when to use, when to avoid
• Cross-browser experience and design patterns well understood (IE8, FF, Blackberry browser, WebKit and IOS are required)
• Demonstrated HTML4 development and experience
• HTML5 conceptual understanding and prototyping skills
• Able to work and complete tasks in a flexible, highly independent environment
• A good understanding of mobile handsets, browsers & technologies
• Working experience in object oriented programming
• Experience in converting user requirements into design
• Ability to develop content that is separated from presentation and behavior
• Skills needed for working with and parsing XML/JSON/GET/POST
• A knowledge of browser inconsistencies and methods of overcoming them
• An understanding of standards based web development set by the W3C
