Position Title: Senior Architect, iOS Mobile Computing (1 position)

Position Description: The incumbent in this position serves as a senior architect for iOS Mobile Computing solutions. The Senior Architect will serve as the primary software architect for a project to deploy iOS-based mobile devices with custom software to district staff in order to conduct surveys and collect survey data. The solution will involve working with iOS mobile computing tools and GPS technologies. The candidate will help solidify strategies for mobile computing applications development. The candidate will also lead a development team to build out the pilot into a comprehensive solution and coordinate full deployment, while mentoring staff assigned to the project.

Specific Duties:

1. Serve as the lead architect and designer of n-tier applications using iOS SDK, mobile computing and GPS technologies.
2. Architect, design and develop user interface, service tier and data tier components for complex applications, including server-based web applications and Android mobile applications..
3. Serve as a team leader and coordinate the efforts of application developers.
4. Participate in the full SDLC process (including coding) of iOS application solutions, including Objective C, HTML, XML and web services.
5. Participate in design and coding of database objects in relational databases such as SQL Server 2005/2008, Oracle, or DB2, including queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, etc.
6. Participate in design and coding of application-embedded, scheduled and ad-hoc reporting solutions using Business Objects XI, Crystal Reports, Excelcius and Web Intelligence.
7. Meet with end users and technical staff of all types to gather business and system requirements

Required Skills and Experience

1. Required: 7+ years full SDLC experience as an applications developer
2. Required: 5+ years experience with Java/J2EE development
3. Required: 3+ years experience with HTML development
4. Required: 2+ years experience with relational database development
5. Required: 1+years experience with iOS SDK development
6. Required: 5+ years experience as a senior developer or team leader
7. Required: Strong oral communication skills
8. Desired: Experience in architecting & developing mobile web applications in an enterprise setting, including infrastructure integration, security, and policies/procedures
9. Desired: Experience developing applications on multiple mobile computing platforms
10. Desired: Experience with synchronization and integration of data captured on a mobile device with enterprise back-end applications and databases
11. Desired: Experience developing applications using GPS technologies
