Isobar is looking to increase the size of its mobile team. For us mobile means anything you don’t do next to a desktop or a laptop, on the go and on the run. That means connecting with your friends, services, devices and home. We want to build the next great thing, no matter if it is running on the mobile web or natively on an iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry, Symbian or Windows Phone. We are committed and will harness our company’s technology foundation to make it happen.
About you
You love to learn and experiment. You look at technology as a building block to get you to point B. You have ideas and built a few applications for school. Maybe you are even working on a personal project. You learn about new things and new technologies by doing. A cool app or website immediately makes you wonder how it was built. You ask questions and research until you know enough to execute. Collaboration, teaching and learning, driving toward a common goal - are all things you love. Responsibilities include:
? Develop for the freshest generation of mobile devices
? Make ideas into reality through code
? Participate in design discussions
? Eradicate bugs and analyze performance
? Write documentation
? Listen and share ideas with our clients
? Learn continuously
Required skills and knowledge:
? Equivalent experience or a degree (or about to graduate in one) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or anything that gives you hands-on programming experience.
? Passion for all things mobile
? Knowledge and experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages (such as Java, C#, C++, Objective-C, Ruby, Scala (tell us why it’s more than OOP))
? Knowledge of web front-end technologies - HTML, CSS and JavaScript
? Some familiarity with source code and build tools like Git, Subversion and Ant
? Understanding of server-side programming (such as JEE, PHP, .Net, RoR)
? Understanding of database technology - SQL and schema design
? Understanding of web services - HTTP, SOAP, REST, JSON; even better if you used APIs like Twitter, Facebook, Flickr
? Code examples will be a huge plus
