Leading candidates for the Software Developer role will be highly experienced Java developers who have a passion for building exceptional business solutions using the most cutting-edge technologies by leaders in the non profit technology field such as Salesforce and Google.

Software Developers work in small teams or independently to design and build innovative solutions on the Salesforce Force.com platform, using that platform’s Web Services APIs, Apex (Java-like language), and Visualforce (Java MVC Framework) technologies.

Deep technical skills, software architecture and design skills, strong requirements analysis and documentation capability, and excellent communication and problem solving skills are required for this critical position.

Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, or a related field, and will have at minimum five years’ experience in the information technology field. Strengths in systems thinking and nonprofit sector experience are highly valued.

* A minimum of five years of Java software development experience.

• Proficient with complete web application development stack, both front and back-end, with an emphasis on backend development: data modeling, database layer (DAO’s), and business logic.
• Hands-on with front-end technologies: Javascript/HTML/CSS/AJAX.
• Experience with one or more web platform APIs such as Google, Salesforce.com, Amazon. * Salesforce Apex and Visualforce experience highly desirable * Strong experience with technologies supporting SaaS applications, including XML, Web Services, HTML, and JavaScript.
